if we all understood... Can U imagine IF we all understood?
Imagine if we all understood & used our senses & brains to the max.
We'd probably be able to read each others minds.
Now b4 proceeding erase all evil & unrighteous thoughts
erase or at least imagine u can erase cause some of u probably can't
Imagine if u will, we all can read thoughts
Imagine if u will
no need 2 speak, communication via mental emails sent as fast as a thoughts born.
pause 4 a moment & think of the judicial system
especially in the united states where the prisons R over
flowing with african americans
Now think again on the mental emails sent as fast as a thoughts born...
we get the honest truth.
Can u imagine if judges had this power?
They would know who is guilty, wouldn't they?
Can u imagine if the accused had this power?
They would know when both police, lawyers, & judges, prosecutors R being fair & honest or NOT.
The jury would know. all would KNOW. The TRUTH.
& the world would surely b a better place.
However our Creator(s) must know humans r not ready 4 this power yet. Not until the negative energies r off & gone from this planet.

I was a slave. I 'was' a slave, but I've run away. Far far away!
Now IF anyone should call me a slave?
It's a slave to the rhythm.
Many of my brothers & sisters are still slaves
& when I say brothers & sisters? I don't necessarily mean the almighty yet suppressed African!
I speak of people who are slaves to a system.
We've got to break out, because the system only works for those kind who've made 'that' system. (so) follow me! Follow me, I will set you free! Come now!!!!!
Yes Sire! One LOVE! Jah love! Oh my goodness!! I Was A Slave!

In 1990 LaRhon records choose 'I Was A Slave' for that years release. 1000 records pressed and over 990 sold, slowly.
The Bad bonus beats is treasured by D.J. Hell.
During the highlight of Occupy Wall Street, the vocal mix was played randomly, and the ideas of the songs lyrics fit amazingly well with what was/is going on around the planet. Bringing on the idea to share, to re-release, digitally.
3 versions from the original 12".
As that LaRhon single became this album, the idealism of present day 'slavery' is touched up with poetry and sincere messages as intro's on quite a few tracks.
Stand out tracks with positive msgs:
''Don't Give Me Those Drugs''
'I Was A Slave',
and 'Up Hill Peace Of Mind'
One of thee stand out tracks on the album is the soulful Rasta vibe'd ''Up Hill Piece Of Mind'' with splicing rhymes by Jonzhaft The Psychopath. (Now known as MC Oxygen) The song was .07 steps away from being signed to Island Records by Chris Blackwell himself. It didn't happen because of timing. Mr. Blackwell heard 'this demo', and literally called out to Mr. BaD. Sadly the day before he left NY for months to organize that year's Jamaica Sunsplash Festival, causing 'just missed meeting him'.
About 3 years later in comes Warren G's Regulate and indeed a commercial success. Jonzhafts lyrical flow is ear hypnotizing and his subject matter is, as said in inner city neighborhoods; real talk!
U can enJOY any song, we hope that. Best bester besstest is to LISTEN to the whole album. We prefer that.
I WAS A SLAVE. past.
Musically yours, eLBee BaD
